Becoming an EPICS program
In the past, the National EPICS program has strategically invested its financial resources as available to add new EPICS sites each year. These new programs have added breadth and new dimensions to EPICS. Institutions may elect to initiate EPICS programs without direct financial from EPICS. These programs will have access to and benefit from dissemination and support materials provided by the National EPICS program.
Institutions who choose to disseminate EPICS locally must agree to:
- Meet the Core Values for EPICS Programs
- Work toward the Goals for EPICS Programs
- Complete semi-annual status reports
- Attend the annual EPICS Conference
- Create an EPICS website that identifies the local program as a part of the EPICS program
- Participate in joint proposals to other funding sources as requested and appropriate
Institutions must also provide the following:
- A completed application
- A letter of support from the institution's dean, provost, or president
- A plan of how the program will be supported, both financially and academically
- A summary of resources, attributes, and partnerships the institution may bring to the EPICS program
Once the above documentation is received, the application packet will be reviewed by the EPICS Director, EPICS National Coordinator, and representatives from the EPICS National Advisory Board to determine if the proposed program within the institution meets the strategic goals of the National EPICS program.
